January 16, 2008 - My family has always been a great support to me during my working life and during my time with Kingaroy Shire Council.

Now that I'm campaigning for Division 4 for the new Regional Council, they've sprung to my side again.

At the weekend, my young nephew Lachlan, (right), joined me as I went doorknocking to introduce myself to electors.

He was a great help and good company ... who knows, he may run for public office himself some day!

January 15, 2008 - This is how the South Burnett Times newspaper, (left), announced that I was going to stand for Division 4 at the upcoming South Burnett Regional Council election.

It was a great interview reporting on my retirement from Bean Growers Australia after 42 years.

And as it says, I "now have the time, the commitment, expertise and the community engagement to be an effective councillor within the regional authority".
